Faith Lutheran Church Endowment Fund

Faith Lutheran Church Endowment Fund.
"Gifts that keep giving."
The Faith Lutheran Church Endowment Fund was created in 1988 with a $3,000 gift from the memorial fund. The fund grew slowly initially with total value reaching $20,000 in 1994. The fund exceeded $100,000 for the first time in 2004 and as shown on this chart total value is now over $196,000.

The church bylaws stipulate that only "income" from the Endowment Fund can be used for grants, and grants from the fund can not be used for the regular operating budget of the church. The first grant was made in 1996 for $250. Grants now are approaching $7,500 annually and as shown on the chart below total over $27,000.
The following chart indicates the distribution of all grants from the Endowment Fund to date. As indicated support for Faith youth and seminary students represent a large portion of grants from the Endowment Fund. The Endowment Committee annually recommends grants totaling up to 5% of the total Fund value.

Contributions to Faith Lutheran Church Endowment Fund are indeed "Gifts that keep giving" year after year. Contributions can be made in a number of ways including:
- Cash
- Securities
- Wills and Living Trusts
- Life insurance
- Charitable Gift Annuities
Besides creating a perpetual gift for the mission of the church, several of the above gifts can provide the contributor substantial tax advantages and even lifetime income. For more information contact the Pastor or a member of the Endowment Committee.
