Christmas
Made by: Judy Vernon
A scene of Bethlehem commemorates the birth of Christ. Mary and Joseph had journeyed to Bethlehem, obeying a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be enrolled, each in his own city. While they were there, Mary gave birth to her first-born son, Jesus, and laid him a manger, because there was no room in the inn. An angel appeared to the nearby shepherds in their field, proclaiming "to you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord" (Luke 2:11). Faith Lutheran Church traditionally celebrates Jesus' birth on Christmas Eve at a family service at 7:30 PM, and a candlelight service at 11 p.m. Please call the church at (330) 836-8872 to confirm these times.
