Confirmation
Made by: Debbie McArtor
A confirmand in a white robe kneels at the altar. The first confirmation service was held on Pentecost, May 20, 1956. The confirmands were Kenneth Frankenfield, Ruthann White, Kurt Cessna, and Stephanie Pfennig. Today, Confirmation follows two years of instruction for seventh and eighth graders. In the Rite of Confirmation, these young people affirm for themselves the promises made on their behalf in baptism, and they become active, voting members of the church. Religious education for youth and adults is a vital part of Faith Church's legacy that extends into the present.
