The cornerstone of the new sanctuary was installed in 1969. Look for it outside the narthex door. Walther J. Wefel, architect, designed the sanctuary, which was our third and final unit. Groundbreaking for the sanctuary took place August 11, 1968. The cornerstone was laid on October 26, 1969, and the first service was held on November 30, 1969. On January 18, 1970, the sanctuary was dedicated.
