Dear Prayer Chain Member,As Pastor mentioned in a sermon, people get better when they are prayed for even when they do not know they are being prayed for. I like to think that God likes variety in prayers, so when a prayer request come in use your uniqueness to pray to God about the situation.

- Keep a notebook and pen beside your telephone to jot down the request as you receive it. Then the request can be passed to the next person accurately.
- When you receive a request, as soon as possible, dial the next person on the list. If that person is not at home but has an answering machine, record the request on their machine, but then please, call the next person with the request. If the next person is not at home and does not have and answering machine, call the following person on the list and continue to attempt to reach the unnotified person. This will prevent the chain from stalling because a member can't be reached.
- Anyone on the Prayer Chain may start a prayer request. Please let Judy Lee/Deaflie Seftofl or me know so that both chains will have the request. Any request will be confidential, if so desired.
- Any requests (not just crisis situations) may be called into the Prayer Chain. It would be appropriate if responses to prayers were returned for members to thank God for what-ever response has been provided.
- The last person on the list should call the office to assure that the request has made its way completely through the Prayer Chain.
If you have any suggestions for improving the Guidelines, please let me know. These Guidelines should be user friendly. Yours In Christ,
Webmaster Ed Rich is having the Prayer Chain on our Website to inform people that it exists and to encourage its use. Confidential prayers will be kept that way.
God bless you for caring.
