"God’s work.  Our hands."  Sunday, September 7

Donations needed for Personal Care Kits

This year marks the 12th anniversary of the Annual Day of Service which will take place on Sunday, September 7. There will be several projects to choose from in which to participate. One of the projects for this day will be assembling the Lutheran World Relief (LWR) Personal Care (Health) Kits. In order to do this, members are asked to donate the items needed for the kits. There is a display table and containers for the items in the Welcome Center.

LWR Personal Care Health Kits
  • One light-weight bath-size towel - dark color recommended (20" X 40" to 52" X 27")
  • Two or three bath-size bars (4 to 5 oz) of soap, any brand, in the original wrapping (total of 8 to 9 oz of soap per kit)
  • One adult size toothbrush in its original wrapping
  • One sturdy comb (no picks or fine-toothed combs) - remove packaging
  • One metal nail clipper (attached file), remove packaging

A second project is similar to last year’s outdoor service work at a member’s home; location TBD. There also will be projects for children at FLC.

All of the projects on Sept. 7 will take place following 10 a.m. worship. Those doing outdoor work at a member’s home, should sign-up on the sheets found throughout the church.
