FaithKids - where kids grow in Faith!

Please know children of all ages are welcome in worship!  However, should your child become restless, Nursery care is available all morning from 9-11:30 for children 5 and under.  Beginning September 18, a Children’s Sermon is part of worship every Sunday at the 9 a.m. traditional service and the 10:30 a.m. informal service.

FACE Time Activities Resume September 18
Christian Education for Children, Youth

Christian Education will be held in-between the services (9:55 – 10:30 a.m.) for children and youth … but with a NEW twist: Near the end of the first service, Pastor Jean will dismiss children and youth.

  • Children, preschool – 5th grade will exit through the narthex and go upstairs with Miss Dineen. There will be two groups meeting upstairs, preschool-2nd grade and 3rd-5th grade (Junior Youth).
  • Youth in grades 6-12 will go directly to the youth room to meet with Eric and Abby Jezewski.
  • Those who typically attend the second service are invited to go directly to their area by 10 a.m.
  • Parents/adults are invited to enjoy the Kinship Café.

+ Throughout the church year, FaithKids and families will gather at events around food, fellowship and faith-building.  Special events include:

Bibles - Kindergartners receive a Spark Story Bible and 1st graders receive a Spark NRSV Gift Bible.

First Communion Instruction - During the season of Lent, we provide a First Communion Retreat to prepare third graders for receiving the sacrament for the first time.  (If a child has received communion prior to third grade at another church, they are welcome at the table at Faith.)  If a child shows genuine interest in receiving the sacrament prior to third grade, please speak with the pastor about joining the First Communion Retreat.

Vacation Bible School – In the summer, Faith hosts a week of VBS for children preschool through completed 5th grade.  Creative and enthusiastic volunteers rally around a fun and faith-filled theme to present important Bible stories and messages to the children who attend.
