At Faith, we take a multi-faceted approach to experiencing faith and life with our youth.

Events

Eric and Abby look forward to the connection time with our youth between services from 10-10:30am. Join us for snacks, fellowship and conversation between services!

Confirmation

Youth typically participate in the Confirmation Program during grades 6-8.

The goals of the Confirmation (Affirmation of Baptism) Ministry at Faith Lutheran Church are for youth participants to:

  • Worship God with fellow believers.
  • Grow in faith by discussing who Jesus is and what his followers believe.
  • Learn what it means to be a Lutheran Christian.
  • Offer hope by putting their faith into action.
  • Develop relationships with others in this faith community.
  • Be prepared to participate in the Affirmation of Baptism (Confirmation) service, publicly affirming their faith and their intention to continue as followers of Jesus and confirmed members of Faith Lutheran Church.

These goals are met by participating and serving in worship services; gaining an understanding of the six topics attached discussed at Learning Retreats and during Confirmation Community; participating in Youth Facetime, Fellowship and Service events.

When youth enter the confirmation program, they and their parents will develop a covenant (using the “Faith Building Opportunities” as a guide) which indicates their participation goals.
