We are joining with ELCA congregations around the country for the ELCA Day of Service. It is also FIRST SERVE: An Interfaith Day of Service in Akron.
ONE combined worship service
9 a.m. in the Sanctuary
Theme: Reach Out!!!
Followed by SERVING
In preparation, please bring the following items hygiene bags: • toothpaste • toothbrushes • soap • shampoo • deodorant
We will assemble the items here on September 8, and then deliver to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, downtown Akron, who works with Project Rise to identify families in need. Two thousand children in Akron experience homelessness. Providing hygiene bags is one way we can assist them. There is a basket in the Welcome Center and Fellowship Hall hallway to collect these items.
On Sunday, September 8 you have two service options -
