Loads of Faith Laundry Ministry

Loads of Faith completed its third event in March and will continue to provide free laundry service to community residents in the North Hill area at Laundry Time, a laundromat in that neighborhood. Interest remains high and the need is great. It has been inspiring to meet people with very diverse backgrounds and very different languages. More pictures from the March event are posted on the bulletin board immediately outside the Outreach Office.
As previously reported, this program is still in its infancy and we are exploring ways in which it may further be expanded and developed. One avenue of exploration is with the Akron School System. On March 9, representatives from Faith Lutheran Church met with Debra Foulk, Executive Director of Business Affairs, for Akron Public Schools. Debra was extremely enthusiastic about how we might make such a service available to children and families within the system. She and her colleagues are following up on the feasibility of such a service.
