Reach out to local kids! New Ways to Spread Christmas Cheer During COVID 19
Angel Tree
We will not be selecting tags from the Salvation Army Angel Tree this year but will provide gifts for local children in a new way! Salvation Army has partnered with Walmart. By visiting www.walmartangeltree.org you can shop online, choose Salvation Army Akron (Citadel) for shipping and relax as your gifts arrive in Akron, ready to be distributed for Christmas. You may also make monetary donations directly, by mailing a check to Salvation Army, 190 South Maple Street Akron, Ohio 44302 or visit https://give.salvationarmyusa.org The deadline is December 16. These blessings will reach the same kids in Akron as if we were still pulling tags from our Angel Tree at Faith and physically shopping at the store.
Holiday Toy Room
Summit County Children’s Services (SCCS) is collecting prepaid VISA cards in the amount of $25. You may purchase a VISA card at any grocery store and drop it off at the church, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you are unable to make it to Faith, please call Rob Kerr, Outreach Director, and he will be happy to pick your donations up from you at home in a safe manner. The deadline is December 18.
