A Sacred Space for Celebration and Remembrance

The Faith Lutheran Celebration and Memorial Courtyard is a serene and holy place—a sacred space where memories of loved ones are honored and celebrated. Nestled within the heart of our church walls, the courtyard offers a peaceful resting place for the ashes of those who have completed their faith journey in this world. It tells a quiet story of love, faith, and enduring connection.

Rooted in the ancient Christian tradition of churchyard burial, this urban alternative keeps us close to the saints who have gone before us. It serves as a visible and tangible reminder of the bond between the church on earth and the church in heaven.

Here, in the heart of our community, the memory of each life is held in grace by a church family committed to care, remembrance, and faith.

What Is the Courtyard?

The courtyard is a landscaped, consecrated space designed for the interment of ashes. It is designated a cemetery and registered with the State of Ohio. The courtyard also welcomes moments of joy—celebrations, gatherings, and prayer—allowing members to connect in both grief and gratitude.

Why a Courtyard?

Our courtyard offers a meaningful, dignified, and personal way to remember those who have died. It reflects the Christian belief in the resurrection and honors the sacredness of the human body, even in death. It provides a permanent and peaceful place for remembrance in a setting that is beautiful and spiritually rooted. The courtyard is a secure location within the church building, well-maintained, protected, and safe.

Who Can Be Interred in the Courtyard?

Interment in the courtyard is available to current and former Faith Lutheran Church members and their families. We welcome you to consider this space as part of your own or your loved one's faith journey.
