You can attend in-person or via Zoom.

A Special Congregational Meeting is called by Council to be held at 10:45 a.m. on August 30 in the sanctuary. So that as many members as possible can participate, you may attend in-person (masks and social distancing required) or virtually. Those who wish to participate virtually should contact the church office so that log-in information can be provided before the meeting.

The meeting will follow the 10 a.m. in-person and live-streamed worship service. Its only purpose is to consider the following motion. The Church Council of Faith Lutheran Church moves to adopt this Welcome Statement:

In response to God’s unconditional love and grace, the people of Faith Lutheran Church seek to follow Jesus’ commandment to love God, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. We express that love in our welcome of people of all ages, races, economic status, intellectual and physical abilities, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, along with their families and friends, to join with us as we worship God, grow in faith, and offer hope.

Actual voting will take place after the meeting. On August 31, a ballot will be sent by mail ONLY to those who attended the meeting either in-person or virtually. Ballots must be returned to the church office by 4 p.m. on Friday, September 18.

A letter with further information will arrive in members’ homes via the USPS by August 21; please consider it carefully. Contact Pastor Jean, David Weida, Council President, Pastor Sandy Selby, chair of the RIC Core Team or other Core Team members with questions.
