Birthday in a Bag

Many thanks to those who donated birthday bags filled with a cake mix, icing, candles, plates and napkins. You donated 80 birthday bags! - 40 went to OPEN M today and 40 will be delivered to DLM on Saturday.
This is a local service project, which we tried last summer at VBS. Both DLM and OPEN M, food pantries that we gave the bags to in the summer, said they are completely OUT. And you know fall and winter kids in need have birthdays coming up… so… we revisited this project.
Seen below is the staff at OPEN M happily receiving the bags.
