Psalms 107:1-2 NRSVUE
O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, those he redeemed from trouble!
The rest of the psalm describes people in all kinds of trouble—lost and wandering, imprisoned in darkness, afflicted by their own choices, or caught in life's storms. In each case, "they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress."
