On Saturday we joined other Akron area congregations and organizations for Mitzvah Day, a Day of Caring in the Greater Akron Community. Our project was the Dare to Love More (DLM) Food and Resource Center Spring Cleaning and More at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. We had a great crew to help spruce up the facilities. Some volunteers cleaned and disinfected the kitchen, social hall, folding chairs and tables, while others helped with sorting clothing, disinfecting shoes and organizing clothing rooms. The weather cooperated and a group picked up trash in the playground area, while others worked on general maintenance, painting and minor repairs of the equipment.
