The Prayer Shawl Ministry at Faith started in March 2003. The intent of this Ministry is to remember the ill, the struggling and others in need of support and of special blessings. Over 453 shawls have been blessed and given to recipients.
In addition, we also make baptism blankets that are given to the Faith families of infants - age 4, Prayer Squares, winter hats/scarves for DLM and winter scarves for our high school graduates.
This group meets once a week, from 10 a.m. - noon, on Thursdays, for fellowship and to create those items listed above, which are “cast on or chained” with prayers and blessings for the recipient (known or not). The group welcomes anyone who already knows, or who wishes to learn to knit or crochet.
