Walking into the church late Wednesday afternoon, you might have thought you were walking into a restaurant. The Soup Ministry Team was cooking up pots of soup, which are then frozen and delivered as needed to Valor Home and Family Promise.
Valor Home, is a facility that serves the needs of Akron’s homeless male veterans.
Family Promise of Summit County helps homeless families with children stay together and achieve sustainable independence. Its vision is to keep families together, to alleviate the trauma of homelessness and assist families in securing a stable home environment.
